JJ Galveston Books is the collaboration of two native Texans dedicated to the writing and publishing of Texas inspired literature. The initial focus will be on a series of new books that include much of the colorful history of one of Texas’ more eclectic and unique cities, Galveston. Galveston was well on the way to becoming one of the more prominent cities in the southwestern United States, until it was devastated by a powerful hurricane that killed some 6000 people in September of 1900. From the housing of the Mexican prisoners of war after the Battle of San Jacinto, to becoming the Wall Street of the West in the late 1800’s, to the “Free State of Galveston’s” gambling, sex trade, and booze organized crime scene on the island, Galveston has seen it all. Certainly there are stories just waiting to be told. Over the next few years, JJ Galveston Books will tell some of those stories. Until that happens, we would love to sell you one or more of Joy or Jim’s books that have been published to date. Just go to the Books tab on this website and purchase one , or if out of print, let us know which one you would like and we’ll send it right off. We are proud to announce that the prequel to our first collaborative book, Billy Love, A Pebble in the Galveston Sand, is now available in paperback and Kindle format on Amazon. The Troves of Zac Love can be purchased from this website by selecting the Buy Now tab shown below.
